Hi, my name is Lutfi but you can call me Fifi. I'm an aspiring illustrator from Temasek Polytechnic finding my own style. I also love doing other design works like poster design, kinetic graphics, and logo design. I used to do traditional artworks before transitioning into doing digital works. I do caricature, ink works, silkscreen and many more. I'm still venturing into the world of digital works and strive to become a better illustrator and I hope you like my work. :)

About me

who am i as a designer?

who am i as a person?

what is this website about?

Here is a little story about the time before I entered Temasek  Polytechnic. I was really afraid as to what to expect, coming into design school. I didn't know what to dress for school and didn't how people would be like. I was also troubled with regards to how classes will be like. However, once I went to their Design Orientation Camp, I fell in love with the school. I have found out that the seniors here are so friendly and nice and during camp. All of us, freshies, asked the Group Leaders how it was like being in design and their answers brought me comfort, making us realize that there is nothing to worry about as long as you are passionate in what you do.

As a designer, personally, I am always interested in the visuals aspects of design. This is why I naturally lean towards illustration, rather than branding, integrated or photography. Before entering Design school, I didn't know anything about digital art or any of the Adobe software. At first, it was difficult and challenging. However, I have soon learned that everything good takes time. After a few months, I finally got more familiar with the software and find it manageable and comfortable to work with now.

As design students, we are required to brainstorm and come up with a lot of ideas. However, these ideas get put down by our lecturers most of the time and can bring our morals down. Nonetheless, this did not stop me from persevering and putting in my best effort. Our lecturers will always push us to our limits so that we can produce our best works. Other than the lecturers, we will also be surrounded by talent friends, which leads to high competitiveness levels, which might get suffocating. Despite that, I believe this trains us for the working industry and stretches us to our fullest potential.

My goal in life is to be the best that I can be. That includes in every aspect, both physically and mentally. I want to be able to be an illustrator that people adore and look up to. I want to be happy in life and live without regret.

In my free time, I like to hang around with people I love and just talk about life. Hearing about whats going on with each other's life may not seem very interesting, but to me, it is more about being there for someone and letting them know that they are not alone. At times in life, even though we are still young, we might be going through some tough times. And being there for someone is the least we could do.

One day I would love to work someone who sees me as someone beyond my skills. I would love to work with a very supportive company who not only challenges me to do my best but also teaches me if I did something wrong.

This website will contain most the works I have done since year one up til now. Most of them are from school projects, but a couple is like from commission works or just sketches or works I do during my free time. Honestly, I have never done this before. Or posting my work online for that matters. I always feel that I am lacking in something and that my works are not good. However, after compiling all my works and doing all this I realized I have progressed and gotten better as compared to when I just start.

what do i want to be in the future?

My goal in life is to be great illustrator that impacts a lot of people lives and I would love to be able to publish my own works to the public or showcase it in an exhibition. I would also want to become a role model for the future illustrators of Singapore and inspiring them on pursuing this passion for drawing and illustrating. In the future, I would love to work with a bunch of creative people whom I could call family and enjoy every single day coming to work and just do what we are passionate about.
